You should continue to take your medicine until your doctor tells you otherwise. Your doctor may ask to review the dose of Epidyolex from time to time,  especially in children who's body weight changes over time.

As Epidyolex remains in the blood for a long time, if you miss a dose and it is almost time for your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Take your next dose at your regular time. Do not take two doses at the same time.

If you are vomiting, please consult your doctor for advice.

If you may have taken more of this medicine as you should have, tell a doctor or pharmacist immediately, or contact your nearest hospital Accident and Emergency department, and take the medicine with you.

Do not stop taking Epidyolex without first talking to your doctor. Stopping seizure medicine suddenly can cause serious problems. Your doctor will explain how to gradually stop taking Epidyolex.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the Patient Information Leaflet.

No. Epidyolex is made using cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is one compound that is extracted from cannabis and purified, being formulated into Epidyolex.

No. Epidyolex is made using cannabidiol, which is one compound that is extracted from cannabis and purified before going into Epidyolex. The euphoric affects associated with the use of cannabis have been linked to another compound found within cannabis called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). CBD is unlikely to cause euphoric effects, because it does not target the same part of the brain as THC.

Do not refrigerate or freeze. Epidyolex does not require any special storage conditions. You can keep it in a safe, dry place out of reach of any children, like most medicines. Your medicine should be stored in the upright position to help prevent leaks.

It's always best to to talk to your doctor directly about your specific allergies. Do not take Epidyolex if you are allergic to cannabidiol or any other ingredients of this medicine. Epidyolex contains refined sesame seed oil, which may rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

You should discuss this with your doctor, based on how old you/your child is and how quickly they grow. As Epidyolex is dosed based on body weight, someone who is growing and/or changing weight quite a lot should have their dosage changed accordingly.

Tell your doctor as soon as you can so they can write a new prescription and ensure you have enough medicine. If a lost bottle 'turns up' and is now past the expiry date, take it to your local pharmacy for disposal. Do not put Epidyolex in the household waste or pour it down the sink.

The scientific difference between cannabidiol (CBD) in Epidyolex oral solution and recreational use of cannabis can be broken down:

1. CBD is the purified molecule found in Epidyolex, which is extracted from cannabis.

2. CBD is very well tested in clinical trials.

No. Each pack of Epidyolex contains everything you need including:

• Epidyolex oral solution

• Two bottle adapters (to help get Epidyolex out of the bottle with the supplied syringes)

• Two 1 ml oral syringes

• Two 5 ml oral syringes

• A Patient Information Leaflet

If the calculated dose is 100 mg (1 ml) or less, the smaller 1 ml oral syringe should be used.
If the calculated dose is more than 100 mg (1 ml), the larger 5 ml oral syringe should be used.
